Simple Strategies to Boost Your Restaurant's Holiday Sales

Use the Holidays to Give Your Restaurant a Boost

With the holiday season coming up, there are plenty of opportunities to give your place an extra boost to bring customers in and really get them in the holiday spirit. People are starting to shop for gifts and while they’re spending money, they should be eating well while they’re out and about.

Lure them in with seasonal specials.

Get folks excited and feature seasonal menu items and even holiday drinks or cocktails to liven things up. This is an easy way to attract families and groups who are looking to celebrate big and small over the coming months. There’s something comforting about offering food that’s familiar and gets them focused on what really matters--spending time together.

Prep your staff and create your environment.

People come to restaurants for more than food. They want an enjoyable experience that will bring them back again and again. Remember that you set the mood, so make sure your staff is prepared for any influx of groups and families whether they’re local or visiting for the holidays. Take the opportunity to make meals really special with great service and thoughtful decor.

Host holiday parties galore.

If you are not already booked for parties and special events, get started now. Family and friends are gathering and company parties are being planned as we speak, so why not be the host. Get the word out to surrounding businesses and neighborhoods and let them know you’re available. Think about throwing in some incentive with a discount or special provided they book before a certain date. Again, creating a great experience for a large group will be important and will have the potential to create some buzz.

Don’t forget about gift cards.

Gift cards often get a bad reputation for being easy or less thoughtful than other gifts. However, restaurant gift cards can have a much different result when you give people the opportunity to treat themselves to a great meal, especially when it’s a place you know they love. Keep gift cards at the top of mind and advertise them on social media and your website. Prompt them with signage or displays in the restaurant as well.

And Finally...

With the holiday season coming up, there are plenty of opportunities to give your place an extra boost to bring customers in and really get them in the holiday spirit. People are starting to shop for gifts and while they’re spending money, they should be eating well while they’re out and about.
